Seminar on "Transforming Waste to Wealth: Bioenergy, Circular Economy, and Sustainable Development for Viksit Bharat @ 2047," [February 08, 2025]

The seminar titled "Transforming Waste to Wealth: Bioenergy, Circular Economy, and Sustainable Development for Viksit Bharat @ 2047," sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), was jointly organized by MNNIT Allahabad, NIT Agartala, and IARE Hyderabad. Hosted by the Mechanical Engineering Department at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad (Prayagraj) on 08.02.2025, the event was convened by Dr. Bireswar Paul and Prof. Akshoy Ranjan Paul, with additional collaboration from NIT Agartala and IARE Hyderabad. The primary aim of the seminar was to bring together distinguished academicians, scientists, researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to exchange ideas and share knowledge ensuring the implementation of effective, sustainable, and scalable waste-to-wealth solutions. The goal was to step towards realizing Viksit Bharat @ 2047—a future where waste is not a burden but a resource driving India’s progress. The seminar was inaugurated by Prof. A.K. Singh, Dean (R&C) at MNNIT Allahabad, alongside Prof. M.K. Khurana (Head, Mechanical Engineering Department) and Prof. Naresh Kumar (Head, Applied Mechanics Department). Prof. Virendra K. Vijay, IREDA Chair Professor at IIT Delhi’s Centre for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT) and National Coordinator of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, delivered the keynote address, setting the tone for the discussions. Prof. Manosh C. Paul, Professor at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, and Prof. Mamdud Hossain, Professor of Future Energy at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK, also participated online as invited speakers. A total of 42 papers were presented, with 65 participants actively engaging in the seminar."
