MNNIT Allahabad Hosts Expert Talk by Dr. J.B.V. Reddy on Research Project Methodology and Industry Collaboration The Office of the Dean (Research & Consultancy) at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad organized an expert lecture and interactive session on February 15, 2025, featuring Dr. J.B.V. Reddy, Scientist-F at the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi. During his insightful talk, Dr. Reddy elaborated on the key aspects of project proposal formulation and evaluation processes at DST. He highlighted the importance of well-structured proposals with clear objectives, a robust methodology, and a realistic budget to enhance the chances of securing research grants. He also emphasized the necessity of aligning research initiatives with national priorities and societal impact. A significant part of Dr. Reddy’s discussion revolved around strengthening academia-industry partnerships. He advocated for increased industry involvement in research and consultancy, particularly in emerging fields such as quantum computing and advanced power systems.
