Department of Biotechnology in collaboration with Department of Applied Mechanics and Department of Physics is organizing a DBT sponsored 𝐓𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐨𝐧 "𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠" 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟖 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. The training program was inaugurated on 18.03.2025 by Prof. Rama Shanker Verma, Director MNNIT Allahabad. In his inaugural lecture Prof. R. S. Verma focussed on application of computers in Biotechnology and drug discovery. Coordinator of the workshop Dr. Ashutosh Mani welcomed the participants. On this occasion Dean (R&C) Prof. A.K. Singh, Head Biotechnology Prof. Manisha Sachan, Head Applied Mechanics Department Prof. A. R. Paul, and PI of the DBT project Prof. R. P. Tewari addressed the participants. Expert talk was delivered by Dr. Anant Narayan Bhatt, Senior Scientist at INMAS, DRDO, Delhi. Dr. Bhatt, member of the team that developed Covid-19 drug 2-DG, shared his experience on drug discovery.
